I like to explore the patterns and textures of nature, and am truly fascinated by their natural formations. Ocean and nature were my biggest inspiration, by creating the “vines” of mycorrhizal fungal networks and colors of nature.

This ceramics piece explored the patterns and colors of nature. I first hand-built the jar base and then cut small holes around the edge. Then I made those vines and created a movement letting them swirl around the jar and holes. I also added fungus elements to the jar. The red mushroom-like elements are creating a contrast with the jar, yet it also creates the texture of a natural pattern.
