The square sackcloth canvas and the white, oval canvas represent my two cultural backgrounds of exposure. The square shape is Chinese culture, while the oval represents American culture. Vibrant flowers grow out of the brie as these hands pull and stretch the cloth, demonstrating the growth of my heart and mind as the two cultures have interacted over time.

For the background of this piece, I used black and white ink swoosh to join the two canvases together.
