Who says only kids can daydream? I think of all kinds of silly, imaginative scenarios throughout the day; there’s a whole world of fantasy inside of my head. Here, the tentacles and the monster symbolize the society from which I am trying to escape. They are attempting to capture me; however, I am following the light toward the fantasy world composed of comforting daydreams I wish to be in.

I used acrylic paint for most of the piece. Vibrant colors are employed to create the illusion of the dream. On the left and right sides, I also attached cotton and colored glass papers, representing the “creatures” that are coming out of the painting.
